Adobe flash player vulnerability

A zero-day exploit is embedding itself in Shockwave Flash Videos on the Internet. Based on information from Secunia, up to 20,000 web sites have already been compromised. The file extension name is .swf.

There is no patch available from Adobe and no timeline from them on patch availability.

Adobe in its brief post on the blog has mentioned it is working with Symantec to investigate this vulnerability and provide an update.

For now, be careful while you access any unknown websites that have flash content. There have been instances of possible infections for people accessing Youtube too.
